    Panini Joins FIFA Collect to Launch Digital Football Collectibles

    Panini has announced a new collaboration with FIFA Collect, bringing its iconic football collectibles into the digital era. The partnership will see the launch of a series of exclusive digital drops, celebrating decades of FIFA World Cup™ history and offering collectors a fresh way to engage with the sport.

    The initiative, powered by blockchain technology provider Modex, combines Panini’s renowned physical trading cards with a new digital collecting platform. Fans will have the opportunity to own and trade digital versions of football’s most memorable moments, with added incentives such as access to FIFA World Cup 2026™ and FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ tickets.

    A New Era for Football Collecting

    For generations, Panini has been synonymous with football sticker albums, allowing fans to collect and trade images of their favourite players. This latest move marks a significant step in the evolution of football memorabilia, merging tradition with modern digital technology.

    Elisabetta Mussini, Group Licensing Director at Panini, described the collaboration as a natural progression of the company’s long-standing relationship with FIFA.

    “Panini and FIFA have been partners for decades, and this collaboration represents the natural evolution of our shared passion for football collectibles. By bringing Panini’s iconic collectibles to FIFA Collect, we are creating an exciting and innovative way for fans to engage with the sport they love,” Mussini said.

    FIFA Collect, which was launched in partnership with Modex, provides fans with a secure and authenticated platform for digital football memorabilia. Blockchain technology ensures that each digital item is verifiable and unique, allowing supporters to trade and own historic football moments in a new way.

    Blending History with Innovation

    Modex’s Chief Marketing Officer, Antonio Lorenzon, believes the partnership is a perfect fusion of football history and cutting-edge technology.

    “Football collecting has always been about capturing the game’s greatest moments, and we’re thrilled to expand this experience into the digital space alongside Panini. This collaboration is a perfect blend of history and innovation, allowing fans to celebrate football in a new and interactive way,” Lorenzon said.

    The introduction of digital collectibles is expected to appeal to both seasoned collectors and a younger generation of football fans who are increasingly engaging with digital platforms. While physical Panini sticker albums remain a cherished tradition, the FIFA Collect initiative offers an additional way for supporters to immerse themselves in the game.

    Exclusive Drops and Rewards

    The first Panini x FIFA Collect digital drop is set to launch next week, with fans encouraged to sign up to the platform for early access. As an incentive, new users will receive a $5 welcome coupon to start their collection.

    By integrating blockchain technology, Panini and FIFA hope to redefine how football fans engage with memorabilia, ensuring authenticity, security, and a new level of interaction. With exclusive rewards, including tickets to major FIFA tournaments, the initiative signals a new era for football collecting.
